Evan T. “Terry” Booker is the managing partner of Axis Partners, LLC. A seasoned investment and finance professional, Booker applies his expertise in mergers, acquisitions, business development, licensing and strategic financial advisory assignments to develop a nontraditional approach to meet the needs of Axis clients.

Prior to founding Axis Partners, Booker served as a Senior Director with Pharmacia/Pfizer (symbol: PHA/PFE) responsible for merger acquisition and divestiture activity at the corporate level of the company. Having global and company-wide purview, he led the purchase of global businesses in Europe and Asia, the divestiture of pharmaceutical products in United States, the valuation of a generic manufacturing concern, external growth opportunities in animal health, and numerous incremental opportunities to bolster the company’s domestic pharmaceutical business through acquisition.

Booker is a former director in the Mergers, Acquisitions and Licensing group with Monsanto (symbol: MON). As the leader of several transaction and product teams at Monsanto he is expert at process development management for soliciting offers for a business and the acquisition of businesses. Booker is also adept at mediation and diplomacy in licensing and partnership negotiations. At Monsanto he was responsible for deals involving the NutraSweet®, Equal®, Ortho®, and Roundup® brands, as well as partnerships with companies such as Georgia Pacific, Scotts, Westvaco, and Chiquita.

In the governmental arena, Booker spent 13 years as a senior investment banker focused on financial advisory work that included small- and large-scale auctions, complex issue structuring and due diligence in preparation for a sale or acquisition of assets. Clients included the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Veterans Administration (VA) and the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC). He led a group that was involved in unique and innovative asset disposition initiatives that generated billions of dollars for his clients. Specifically, he was involved in engagements with RTC that totaled over $30 billion in income producing and distressed real estate throughout the United States. Booker was also lead banker on numerous tax-exempt bond issues for states, counties, school districts, developers, colleges/universities and airports.

He was also instrumental in the creation and development of the Educational Direct Loan Mortgage Corporation (Eddie Mac). This entity was the first of its type to originate, underwrite, and service mortgage loans totaling up to $375 million for Historically Black Colleges and Universities under a program backed by the U. S. Department of Education.

Booker holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics Degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Clark ended his eight-year tenure at Money magazine as one of Technology Marketing 's "Top Ten Influencers" in Consumer and Computer Magazines.

He has provided consulting services for companies as large as Sony and as focused as Sarbanes-Oxley Central. For three years, he also produced and moderated the Financial Services Summit at Internet World in New York and Los Angeles, advising CEOs, analysts and other dot-com executives on the most effective ways to keep their messages on point.

As a writer, Clark specializes in emerging technologies as well as business and consumer tech issues and has contributed to numerous publications, including Inc., Fortune Small Business, New York Lawyer, Real Simple and Men's Health. He is a regular contributor to CNNfn's "Your Money," and has appeared on Fox News, CNN, PBS and numerous local affiliates.

Clark has a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications from the Millersville University School of Humanities and Social Sciences.


Stephanie Royal is the director of marketing and partner in Axis Partners, LLC. Ms. Royal brings a variety of talents to the firm, encompassing her experience in finance, information systems technology, non-profit administration and development and education.

In her role as director of marketing, Ms. Royal assists the firm in developing and managing relationships in the corporate, municipal and non-profit arenas. Ms. Royal also develops strategies to assist in the implementation of our firm’s recommendations to its clients. Ms. Royal is critical to the company’s new business development efforts due to her extensive network of community and business leaders in several states.

Ms. Royal’s career experience includes elementary education. She is a writing specialist, trained in the implementation of multiple intelligences. She has also authored an original curriculum for the delivery of instruction in literature based reading programs, social studies courses and award-winning anti-bias training for children and adults.

Prior to her career in education, Ms. Royal served as a financial analyst for many years for a prominent Wall Street firm. She published a weekly investor newsletter for institutional clients and specialized in reporting on the healthcare, airline and home improvement industries. Ms. Royal developed a niche for discovering and reporting on special interest companies that had not previously received analyst coverage.

Ms. Royal is a Fellow of Leadership New Jersey’s Class of 2004 and is the founder and chairman of the board of The Villagers, a non-profit community based organization dedicated to eliminating the minority academic achievement gap. The organization provides an on-going speaker series, parent education and independent advisory and counsel for parents. Through her leadership, The Villagers has received statewide recognition in New Jersey for its programs.
